We read everything that arrives. Corrections, questions about a source, topic suggestions, event listings and press enquiries all reach the same inbox, and we aim to reply within three working days.
Before you write: one thing we cannot do
We cannot diagnose an animal, recommend a medication or tell you a dose by email — not because we are unhelpful, but because it would be unsafe. Species, age, weight, existing conditions and current medications change every answer, and none of that can be assessed remotely. If your pet is unwell, please contact your own veterinarian. If it is an emergency — laboured breathing, bleeding, collapse, seizures, inability to urinate, a swallowed toxin — go to the nearest emergency clinic now and read us later. Our disclaimer explains why we hold this line.
What we would love to hear
- A correction. If something on this site is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it and say what changed.
- A question we have not answered. Reader questions decide what we write next.
- An event. Shelters, clinics and expos in the United States can send details for our events and news page.
- A source. If you know better research on a topic we have covered, send the link.
- Permission requests. Republishing, translating or quoting at length — see the terms first, then write to us.
